When Big Changes Start to Hit Home

Up to this point, it's all been forms, paperwork and intangibles. We now have our first (very large) tangible, which is not nearly as cute as our new kids.

Our Big Van

Our Big Van

The van that ate the driveway. Will it fit in the garage? Stay tuned...

Yep, there are some sacrifices to be made in this process, like watching our dearly-loved Yukon XL roll down the street to its new home. It has been replaced by a 2008 Chevy Express 15-passenger van, which is a REALLY large vehicle. Large enough, in fact, to make our Yukon XL look wimpy. No kidding.

So we've already pulled the back seat out, which makes the van into an 11-passenger-plus-cargo hauling machine. That cargo area comes in very handy for shopping, or for hauling mountains of unwanted clutter to Salvation Army. Yep, we're doing that, too.

Though it may sound like we're complaining, the van really is a blessing. God brought us a clean, well-maintained vehicle at the same time He brought us the funds to purchase it. Lord willing, this van will serve us reliably for many years.

Now we just have to name it. Email us with ideas!

Bonus points for naming the movie this quote is from: "You're not supposed to name it! Once you name it, you start getting attached to it!"
