(click any image to enlarge) Our Home Above Home This was home for 15 hours to Dubai, then another 4 hours down to Ethiopia. The Obligatory "Hold the Camera and Shoot Yourself" Shot The happy couple, en route between Dubai and Addis Ababa. The Obligatory "Out the Plane Window" Shot Here you see fluffy clouds and a patchwork quilt of farms in the foothills near Addis Ababa. We finally made it to Addis Ababa! We had comfortable, uneventful flights and a pleasant stay in Dubai last night. The problems came with our failing technology, which included one laptop that died the night before we left, and a backup laptop that went all wonky and wouldn't boot. Trying to troubleshoot a computer problem from Dubai was a real challenge. It took getting here to the guest house in Addis Ababa and having the front desk person offer to loan us a laptop for a week. (She walked up to our door, laptop in hand, as we were heading out for help. Isn't God amazing?) With that loaner laptop, I was able to troubleshoot and fix the problem with our laptop. We'll post pictures as soon as we can. Addis Ababa is beautiful right now. Comfortable and clear, with lots of hustle and bustle all about. Our 4th-floor rooms are very nice, and we're really enjoying the view. We have two important meetings tomorrow, which we're happy about. More coming soon.
