We make a little movie, just for fun.

Mackenzie and her dear Goff and Grant friends have had great fun over the past two years pretending to be Narnians. They even made beautiful Narnian cloaks to wear. When I learned that the Goffs were moving back to New Mexico (or "Noom Exico"), I knew I had to capture a precious memory before they left. So I banged together a little script, and we shot "The Chronicles of Farnia" over two rainy afternoons in December. We only had about five hours to shoot total, so we were moving fast.
Then I disappeared into my office/studio to edit the movie together and do the music. I invested some late nights, but really enjoyed the process. I'm not ready to quit the day job for a career in movies, but I think we did pretty well for a first effort.
The movie is on YouTube. The HD version looks and sounds much better if you have a fast Internet connection.
Here are the links:

An alternate version has cute shots of all the kids at the end. We're choosing to not make it public, but we'll be happy to send you a link to it if you email us.
Finally, it's worth noting that the three families in the movie have 17 kids total, seven adopted and four of those internationally. The Grants will be heading to Ethiopia near the middle of 2011 to get their two adopted boys (you can visit the Grant blog here). That's nine lives forever changed through the miracle of adoption!
Enjoy the movie, and please feel free to comment right in YouTube if you're so inclined.
