We're having a lot of laughs trying to learn with our "Simple Amharic for Adoptive Families" CD.

Our new CD arrived yesterday, so Loren and I spent some time last night listening and trying to repeat some phrases that might come in handy with our new kids. Simple? There's nothing simple about it.
Consider the dangers of sounding like you know Amharic when in Ethopia. We laughed harder than we have in years at the thought of the following scene.
Ethiopian stranger: "Oh, thank goodness--you speak Amharic. Can you point us to the US Embassy?"
Us: "You are going to live with us. Please don't go potty in your pants."
