We woke up to two new guinea pigs this morning!

To bring you up to speed, our oldest girls got guinea pigs for their birthdays in August. We were adamant about getting two the same gender, and chose our two females very carefully. About a week ago, we realized that something was going on with Chessie. She was either pregnant or she was eating way too much food! We did some research online and came to the conclusion that she was indeed expecting and that "Sierra" was NOT a female guinea pig! He has been renamed "Seymour" and will be going back to the breeder with at least one of the babies.
Chessie gave birth last night to two new piggies. They are very soft and cute. I have told the girls, "You can't name them. Once you name them, you start getting attached to them!" They aren't listening to me, though. They have already named them Patches and Journey. We will keep one of them if it's a female (yet to be determined, I do NOT have time for this!).
The adventures at the Alldrin house continue...
