I don't know if it's her age or her personality, but this child says a lot of funny things.
The other night, I was checking out our Ethiopian Yahoo Chat group site (yes, I'm obsessed). I announced to the girls that roughly 25 children are coming home within the next month to their forever families through our agency. Jillian said, "Wow, that's a lot of kids. They're gonna run out of Ethiopians!" It made us laugh really hard because there are over 5 million orphans in Ethiopia, but oh, how I wish it were true! Wouldn't it be such a beautiful thing if there were NO more orphans in the world?
I had passed out Otter Pops to the girls and their friends the other day, but Jillian was still in her room napping. When she woke up, she wandered around out in the garage, obviously looking for something. Loren asked her what she was looking for. She said, "I want one of those Beaver-sicles".
Jillian came to me one day and said she wanted some "goose-tape". I had her repeat herself several times, thinking I was hearing her wrong. She finally said, "You know, that sticky tape." Then it hit me, she's asking for DUCT tape!
