Six Alldrins and Three Shastas

Our family in front of Shasta dam, Lake Shasta and Mt. Shasta.

In case you haven't read our blog in awhile, our dossier is in Ethiopia. That means we are officially a 'waiting family'. Our agency is giving us an estimated timeline of 9-11 months for a referral from our DTE (dossier to Ethiopia) date, which is 3/6/09.

Our family went on a homeschool field trip today to the Shasta Dam. It was windy and cold, but absolutely beautiful. Not the dam itself so much, but the scenery around it with Shasta Lake and Mt. Shasta behind it.

I am keeping busy with homeschooling the girls and some sewing projects. I have set aside my quilting to make the girls some cute summer outfits. I have some goals for our household that I want to accomplish before we get a referral. Namely, I need to figure out where I am going to put two more little girls. We need to seriously de-clutter this place and get organized! I have visions of getting my photo albums all caught up before our trip to Ethiopia, but it could just be a daydream.

I am signing the girls up for summer swim team, which will be four days a week. Between that and music lessons, I think we are going to stay very busy (what's new?)

We are praying more fervently now than ever for our little girls halfway around the world. We know that they are most likely already born (at least one) and we petition God on their behalf for safety and provision and for arms to hold and love them.
