Quilts for the newest members of our family.

Those of you who know me well, know that I love to make baby quilts (time permitting). Well, since our new children are not babies, I couldn't really make "baby" quilts. I have my girls' baby quilts and I will put them away and keep them safe until they want them someday. I wanted to have something similar for our kids that are coming into our family at an older age. I will take these "cuddle quilts" with me to Ethiopia and let the kids use them for the long plane ride home and for as many years as they want them. Then, I will pack them up, just like the baby blankets, to be saved for later.
My mother, who is an incredible quilter, is making the kids' quilts for their beds. I will post pictures of those when she is finished with them.
