This has been an amazing day.

My mom came over this morning to pick up the girls and take them to Anneliese's fiddle competition. As she was heading out the door, Loren and I were leaving to drive to Sacramento for our USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) fingerprinting appointment. On the way to Sacramento, my mom called and let us listen to Anneliese play her set on stage over the speaker phone. We thought she did great and it was a huge relief for us to know that she would be pleased with her performance.
We arrived for our appointment a little bit early and they took our fingerprints and had us out the door before our scheduled appointment time. We happened to be on the same street as IKEA, so we popped in there for an interesting labyrinth-type shopping experience. We picked up a few knicknacks and headed out to lunch.
We took Anneliese to the awards ceremony tonight and were pleasantly surprised that she won first place in her division! Yeah, Anneliese! She has worked so hard and we are so proud of her for her perseverance and being faithful with her practicing.
We will be eagerly awaiting our I-171H in the mail. We are getting so close to the finish line on all our paperwork!
Enjoy the pictures of our amazing day. We are so thankful.
