(click any image to enlarge) Home Study Packet, Completed! Wednesday marked a bit of a milestone for us. I was able to put our intake package in the mail for our home study. This may not seem like much to most people, but this represents a lot of completed work. All of our life information was collected and mailed in four weeks. That includes birth certificates, Dept. of Justice fingerprinting, physicals for everyone in the home, employment verifications, insurance verifications and (oh, yeah) answering TONS of questions! Now our sweet social worker can interview us and then write up our home study. This is the last item we need to be able to complete our dossier, which is the set of papers to be sent to Ethiopia. Once that is in country, we will be officially "in line" for a referral. Back to: Adoption blog Our home study is nearing completion.
