We Did Not Pass Court

Posted by Loren Alldrin on October 19, 2009 to Adoption blog

We are disappointed to report that neither one of our cases passed court today. We were told by our agency that the first-time pass rate is about 50%, so we are not surprised by these results.

One of our cases will be heard again on Nov. 9th (this is for the oldest girl). There was apparently some paperwork that the judge was not happy with and wanted it to be re-done. The other case will be heard again on Oct. 30th. The paperwork for these two children was in place, but a key witness for the case was not able to attend the court proceedings due to some unrest in the region where she lives. Our agency is working hard to make sure that she is able to appear next Friday for the new court date.

We will keep you informed of the results of these new court dates and also when we receive our travel dates.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. We are still very busy with a lot of items still on our checklist waiting to be marked off!
