We Have a Date!

Posted by Kristen Alldrin on October 13, 2009 to Adoption blog

We received word today that a judge will hear our case on Monday, October 19th.

Technically, since Ethiopia is 10 hours ahead of us, it will happen while we are sleeping (yeah, right) on Sunday night. We should hear on Monday whether or not we passed. A judge will be deciding whether or not to grant us legal custody of three beautiful, precious children. If we pass, we will be traveling some time in the next four weeks! Yikes! That doesn't leave us much time to tie up all our loose ends, and there are a lot of them.

Please join us in praying that all the paperwork is in order and that people who need to show up for the court case will be there. According to the email we received today, roughly 50% of families will not pass court the first time. How we hope and pray to be in the 50% that do pass the first time, but we know that God has a plan and He is in control of all things.

We will post again on Monday to let everyone know the outcome of our court case. When we pass court, we will have pictures of the kids up as soon as humanly possible!
